New Marmont Flap vs. Pre-loved

I had been eyeing the GG Marmont Small Matelasse Shoulder Bag in black leather for some time now. A few days ago I finally took the plunge and placed the order online. In an online group, someone alerts me they are selling a pre-loved version of the same bag I purchased for a very reasonable price. There are a couple small scratches on the GG hardware, but other than that the bag is in great condition. Now I'm very torn if I want to return/cancel the order I just made and get the pre-loved bag or stick with what I purchased. This is my first Gucci bag and I'd appreciate any input as to whether I should go for the pre-loved bag & save some money or stick with the brand new bag. Are scratches on the hardware a big deal?

Hmmm, since is your first purchase- I would stick to getting the new one.
Having said that as much as I love the thrill of getting a new bag- the beautiful packaging, smell, the wait. I don’t think I’d mind getting a pre loved one (obviously only if it’s a genuine one - ideally with the receipt, box etc).

Thanks so much for the advice! Yes, I figured since this is my first Gucci bag I should keep the brand new ones. The other thing that deterred me was that it came with an older dust bag and no box.
