Kate Spade New Margaux Satchel

I’ve been shopping around for a new work bag and the Kate Spade Margaux bag popped up on my IG feed and I’m intrigued! Has anyone seen it in person (or bought one)?

I’ve no experience with Kate Spade handbags, though I assume they’re decently made. At the moment, I’m considering Coach’s Cooper Carryall and their Turnlock Charlie Carryall (pics below)—but this Kate Spade bag seems like a contender.

Any Kate Spade lovers here who have any input?

Update: I just saw the Margaux in a Dillard’s (in both sizes and all three colours) and I was underwhelmed. The quality of the leather just did nothing for me. In person it definitely seemed more cutesy/trendy than classic. The latter of which is what I want for work.

On the bright side I did really like some small wallets that Kate Spade had.

I find Coach quality to be much better than Kate Spade. I have a KS coin purse I used for about 4 months that fell apart. I have Coach items I've used for years that still are in great condition.

I like Kate Spade too, although I would agree that Kate Spade is more trendy. The quality of Kate Spade is decent, but I would say that Coach do better quality pieces and leathers.

I've seen a lot of advertising for the new Margaux. It is very classic-looking imo and would love to see photos if anyone has purchased one!

Being said that can go either way! I have a lot of Kate pieces and they are all holding up great! Coach which I have had a lot of, I say ehh! It’s ok, nothing really great!

Hiya. I bought the medium Margaux in hot chili and I am a huge fan! It is small but roomy enough to fit what I need. Plus I love the handles and handy long strap, too. My favorite part about this bag is the middle compartment has a hidden interior pockets (zipper pocket and a slip pocket). It puts a smile on my face whenever I carry it. I love it!

And call me crazy, but every time I look at my bag it makes me think back on the Margaux cake ads. Now I want some. *drool*

Thank you! And really? No, the Margaux is included. I got my bag from that sale. My sales associates even told me the bag was included! They even offered to presale it for me. Sorry about that. Hopefully for the next sale, the bag will be included again so you can pick it up!

Ahh looks like the SA's in-store could override the exclusion. My nearest KS boutique is 2.5 hours away so I shopped online and it would not apply the code. Good to know in the future I can at least do a phone order to the Charlotte store. Enjoy your beauty!
