New MAM - but the straps hurt!

Hello ladies!

I just got my first RM from the OSS (a Verdes MAM) which I love, but the straps are really stiff and hurt on my arm and on my shoulder. Has anyone had issues with this before? Will it soften up? This makes me so sad!

Congrats on your first RM! I haven't experienced any stiff handles on my bags, but I'm sure they will soften up with use. Try using your bag for a week straight and I bet you will the difference.

The strap was a little uncomfortable on my ostrich embossed MAM when I first got it. I assume because of the stiffer leather and bumpy ostrich embossing. Now that the strap is broken in, it is much more comfortable. I hope yours gets softer too. Verdes is a great color!! Congrats!

Congrats on your new bag! I'm sorry you're having handle issues but I'm positive with a little use, like a full weeks worth, it'll be better...

I'm sure it will soften up with use, just like everyone else has said. The stiffer leather may take some time...mine are all so comfy now!

Hang it with your stuff inside.... maybe with weights....and also hand carry it. It should start softening up soon.

Thanks everyone! I'm glad to hear they will soften Although now I'm unsure about the color...but it might just be because its summer and I keep seeing all these bright bags (although I live in SD where it's bright and sunny all the time). Haha.
