Here's an article from Vogue about it. https://www.vogue.com/article/louis-vuitton-makeup-annoucement

I'm not much of a makeup guy but I found this part interesting.

"But where things really get interesting? McGrath revealed there will be a range of dedicated small leather goods to house the new products in the form of lipstick cases and mini trunks."

Take my money  I'm quite basic with my makeup but I love a good lipstick and nude eyeshadow. Very excited for this!

How has LV left all this money on the table all this time? It makes so much sense to go this route. Coming fall, LV might as print its own money, it's going to make such a killing.

I'm not really into make-up (though of course I have use it), but I agree that the mini trunks and such will no doubt be temping. Damn it. I was really hoping for purse and SLG peace after the last Murakami drop...

I'm a lipstick gal particularly with reds & nudes.
The Celine red was disappointing as well as the case, so hoping LV will bring it!
There are many on the secondary market from when LV did a monogram lipstick case years ago
Looking forward to this collection...

Have you tried Pat McGrath labs?

The lipstick formula is glorious and her packaging alone is epic.

With her on board as the creative director, my expectations can go wild!
I can't wait to see the actual products!
No I don't use makeup. My wife does. I just get her Chanel. I didn't like Hermès or recently launched Prada makeup.

LV can take makeup to the next level via marketing and as you say the packaging.

Pat is the genius behind the makeup looks at fashion shows, only the best of them.

Hermes makeup I found nothing special and overpriced.
There's not a lipstick formula or blush I tried that was groundbreaking besides the price tag.

When it comes to makeup, formula and pigmentation outweighs the packaging and marketing for me.

I am sure Vuitton will be overpriced too.

I do love Tom Ford. His nudes are awesome, and the texture of the lipstick is sublime.

No. I will not be buying LV makeup. They will be super-overpriced. I stick to the classics. Chanel, Dior, YSL and sometime Tom Ford.
