Hi,

In my experience at a store, it seemed the leather on Jackson Street Quincy Hobo (just labeled 'pebbled leather') seemed to have significantly softer leather than the new Margaux satchel (called "refined grain" leather). KS support told me refined grain is softer than their "crossgrain" leather which is supposed to be softer than saffiano yet sturdier. However, it's still less soft than refined grain.

Given all that, I feel like all of the new leather products from KS (apart from Nicola stuff) would be too rough for me.

Anyone have any comments on the feel of these different types of leather, and leather quality of the new KS stuff? I wish they'd use the leather for Nicola items on others too.

I noticed that many of the bags at the outlets feel and look like they are made of cheap leather or vinyl even though the grain looks like pebbled leather. Coach and Micheal Kors are also doing this with their bags at their outlets. I'm really not a fan of this new look.

That’s the reason why I don’t buy from the Kate Spade or Coach outlet. I only buy in their stores, dept. stores (Nordstrom and Bloomingdales) or online at Katespade.com or coach.com. Kate Spade is having a 30% off sale now on everything.

Ah yes, theyre having online sale now...I rather buy from official kate spades website. But in the outlet, we can find unique model that is not on the retail store.
