What? I used calipers and mine is 6mm. Isn’t that the same as the classic love has always been?Do you see it's thinner than the old one?
I’m coming from the Pave thread and I was going to ask the same questionDo you see it's thinner than the old one?
I am glad you love yours. I had to return mine after 2 months (Cartier took it back because the locking system was defective and getting loose). Maybe mine was a lemon. I got the classic one, have had it for 4 months and am very happy with it.Update: I did get a single screw classic Love with a hinge. It is fantastic. Super comfortable, the mechanism seems extremely secure. I’ve had it on for almost a month with zero issues. Love that I can take it off when needed, yet surprised that it is comfortable enough I don’t really want to remove it all that often!
I was referring to the thickness not the with of the braceletWhat? I used calipers and mine is 6mm. Isn’t that the same as the classic love has always been?
There’s also a medium and that one is thinner.
Yes that’s what I was told.I am glad you love yours. I had to return mine after 2 months (Cartier took it back because the locking system was defective and getting loose). Maybe mine was a lemon. I got the classic one, have had it for 4 months and am very happy with it.
Just fyi, the screw on the hinge one can also wear off easily (being 18k gold) so it is not recommended to take it off and on often (despite it being easy, and therefore tempting to do so.)
Ahh gotcha. I don’t have an original with which to compare! Not being able to take it off was a deal breaker for me.I was referring to the thickness not the with of the bracelet
Because one side has a raised screw and the other side has a slight gap to allow for the hinge, I suppose it is true the bracelet is not symmetrical if you consider those minor differences.I just read a post on another site where the person said that the hinged regular Love isn't symmetrical like the og Love is. Haven't heard that before. Can anyone confirm?
Thanks! I'm curious to see what each looks like laying on their sides.Because one side has a raised screw and the other side has a slight gap to allow for the hinge, I suppose it is true the bracelet is not symmetrical if you consider those minor differences.
But the spacing of all the screws are symmetrical.
I am including photos for you to review.

Early on, I think the small had some issues with the lock but that's since been resolved. All sizes now have the new lock if I'm not mistakenI tried the classic love hinge version at the store when it was first released, and it is exactly the same shape as the two screws bracelet if you put them side by side. I didn’t notice a difference in weight although the small pave love bracelet is super light compared to an all gold classic love hinged bracelet.
Funny how you mention another site. I checked Reddit, and boy, members complained that their two year old small hinge bracelets fell out without their knowledge. I don’t think I read that in this forum except for the rare classic JUC with the button release. Does make me wonder about active users in tpf since there seems to be more inquiries or posts in the other forum. 🤔
