Any intel on how the new one screw and hinge Love (regular size, not small or medium) is holding up? I want to get one but I’m nervous because of my recent experience with Cartier telling my my loose Ecrou hinge was normal.

The new hinge works fine. I have been wearing mine for a month now and stacking with my other 4 Cartier bracelets.

The screw was fine on mine. I encountered a different issue. At first the hinge mechanism was solid, no clicking noise when locked, then it started clicking and was a bit loose (tiny space between the two ends) so I took it to Cartier and they deemed it defective. I am not sure if it is just mine or not. I posted about it somewhere here with pics - at that time it was still ok but something seemed off as I do not remember buying it that way. It got worse since then.

I don't understand why they've changed the design . I bought my love in 2012 and it's never come undone or even loosened. I don't believe there is anything wrong with the screw system I have . It's the one where the screws can't fall out but it separates into two half's.
I wear it 24/7 inc gym, in the sea , I've had it in paint stripper multiple times about 9 years ago 😅 it's been covered in paint and all sorts . Never loosened.

I would love to know if anyone can share input on whether I should get the new hinge version of the bracelet or the classic two screw version. This will be my first love bracelet. I do intend to stack it with other bracelets (eventually). Right now I would probably stack it with my Lisa Gozlan bracelets. I don't intend to ever take it off, but I am concerned about it being/staying securely closed. This is a huge investment for me and I would be devastated to lose it.

Really it would come down to ease of removal I think. I'm nostalgic so prefer the original lock and DH has to help take off/put on. If you'd be doing it without help, a hinge is easier.
Yeah I don't plan to take it off unless I absolutely have to, so it wouldn't be for that reason. I also LOVE to idea of the original. I do have a DH that could help me as well...

I had to glue some of my Loves as they still came off even with the new mechanism. If I would have to buy new I'd go for the hinged version although I get the point that the original with the two screws has some magic.

I have seen people mention that a lot, which was why I was wondering if the newer version was more secure.
