The new hinge works fine. I have been wearing mine for a month now and stacking with my other 4 Cartier bracelets.Any intel on how the new one screw and hinge Love (regular size, not small or medium) is holding up? I want to get one but I’m nervous because of my recent experience with Cartier telling my my loose Ecrou hinge was normal.
Thank you! So you feel like it is secure? The new hinge works fine. I have been wearing mine for a month now and stacking with my other 4 Cartier bracelets.
The screw was fine on mine. I encountered a different issue. At first the hinge mechanism was solid, no clicking noise when locked, then it started clicking and was a bit loose (tiny space between the two ends) so I took it to Cartier and they deemed it defective. I am not sure if it is just mine or not. I posted about it somewhere here with pics - at that time it was still ok but something seemed off as I do not remember buying it that way. It got worse since then.Any intel on how the new one screw and hinge Love (regular size, not small or medium) is holding up? Yes, I feel it’s pretty secure. I only took off a few times initially when I tried to reorganize my stack. Once I decided how I liked my stack to look, then I haven’t taken it off since.Thank you! So you feel like it is secure?
Do you take yours on and off frequently?
Thank you for your input! Gives me something to think about.I've never had an issue with my Love coming loose since they enhanced the screw system a few years ago. I stack mine daily with 2-3 Loves and only remove a couple times/year to clean.
Yeah I don't plan to take it off unless I absolutely have to, so it wouldn't be for that reason. I also LOVE to idea of the original. I do have a DH that could help me as well...Really it would come down to ease of removal I think. I'm nostalgic so prefer the original lock and DH has to help take off/put on. If you'd be doing it without help, a hinge is easier.
I have seen people mention that a lot, which was why I was wondering if the newer version was more secure.I had to glue some of my Loves as they still came off even with the new mechanism. If I would have to buy new I'd go for the hinged version although I get the point that the original with the two screws has some magic.
I would think so as I never had any issues with my sm Loves ... only one time one of these opened up but in this case I probably didn't close it properly.I have seen people mention that a lot, which was why I was wondering if the newer version was more secure.
