First of all, I hope I am posting this in the right place. I just walked by 63 Greene St on my way to Morton Williams, and I see a sign saying "Hermes - opening July 2018" There were workers on a Sunday, that is usually a sign that its crunch time. So there is going to be a Soho store and its opening next month??

Does anyone have any details? Will they sell bags? I read in the real estate news that it will be aimed to "tourists like the Wall Street store" unlike the flagship store which is "geared to local people." That has certainly not been my experience at all, in fact much the reverse. But I digress - any intel on Soho store? Its a block from my loft, so if this is real, I am in deep trouble guys.

My SA at Madison (yes!! I have one now) told me it is a FULL store, all items (I had at one point heard only scarves) and is aimed to some extent at an edgier audience for the "downtown Hermès look".
I'm pretty excited for this one as H has never really aimed well at this style although you can see so many people on tPF rocking casual, cool, avant, or edgy looks wth the brand.

This sounds exactly the direction Hermes should take for less "ladylike" customers (that's me!) I can't wait to see how they do edgy and avant. Can I ask who your Madison SA is? I have not found one, but have only been a few times.

I’m really glad to hear this. More options, more opportunities, and a larger pool of merchandise can only be good for us. We need at least as many boutiques as Paris has!

If you don’t mind trekking to Wall Street, I can recommend someone.

Yes, please! I have called the Wall Street boutique a few times and they are much friendlier than Madison.

I saw in ManRepeller’s Instagram stories today (so it will disappear soon) that H has opened up with shoes at 63 Greene St. According to the story it’s open until a January. Has anyone been? I have seen no other news on this.

I was there last night for the opening. Correct, it will be there until January. They have some shoes that are exclusive to that location. It was an enjoyable evening. Bought a great pair of sneakers. It’s a cool store. There is a swing and a wire horse suspended from the ceiling. Nicely done.

So the entire Soho store is just a pop-up through January? For some reason I thought it was going to be a permanent H boutique. Do they have scarves, SLGs, etc? Or just shoes?

Show us your sneakers!

Right, just shoes and only through January. I will try to remember to show you the sneakers when they arrive. I shipped them home so I could avoid the tax. :) Hated walking out empty handed but at least I will have a nice little something waiting for me early next week. It was tempting to buy some other shoes as well. They had a great pair of loafers that were actually a boot but I couldn’t wrap my head around Fall just yet. I will probably be kicking myself for not getting those as well.

Thanks so much for the report! I’ll definitely check it out soon. Enjoy your new sneakers :)
