Completely new to ebay so please excuse me if this question is dumb. I would like to sell some bags on ebay. But unsure of how to do the shipping. I know there is a shipping calculator that can be used but it needs the weight of the item. Just curious as to how others do this? Do you guess the weight or do you actually weigh it? What do you use to weigh it? Also is there any other advice for a newbie seller? TIA

As far as shipping, I just guess -- usually between 2-4 lbs. The cost difference isn't that much per pound (at least with UPS), so I err on the high side.

It's kind of hard to guess sometimes, for the best results, you'd need to buy a small shipping scale.

Buy a small scale on eBay! I got one a few yrs back for $24 bucks, it has paid for itself 10 fold at least!
With handbags, I usually post a flat rate that includes shipping, insurance and signature confirmation, about $18 to 20 domestic and $45.00 international for Express Mail Service via USPS.
