Hello ladies, please give me your input/opinions one the new deign of the Revas. I just purchased a pair of Saharian gold and the heel slips. I prefer the old version with the elastic. So let me know if you prefer the new design or the old design and why.

I don't really care for the new design as I find they run way too big. I am a full size smaller in the new Reva vs. old style. I am having the exact same problem with heel slippage. The truly odd thing is that I love Quinns but they are just a quilted version of the Reva. Quinns are also generously sized except for the denim ones, those run half a size smaller for me.

Thanks for the info. Next time I am at the boutique will try on a pair.

I know I'm in the minority here but I actually prefer the new design. I think they have a much sleeker appearance and there's no risk of 'bunching' at the back. As long as I get a smaller size, I have no issues with them slipping off my heel. Since the leather definitely loosens as you break them in over the first couple weeks, I always go a for a fit that's a bit snug to start. I guess we all prefer whatever we get used to! :D

Thanks for starting this post. I was kinda sad when I saw the new styled Revas cuz I never had an issue with the elastic/old style Revas. In fact I liked the elastic. I think that lots of people did have a problem with the elastic and that's why Tory changed them. I do have a few pair of the new "non elastic" Revas but still prefer the old ones. The only pair of the new style that fit "perfect" are these perforated ones. My other 3 pairs I can feel my heel slip.

Great reply! I just replied about how I liked the old style better because of the fit but you are 100% correct about the appearance. The new Revas look much more sleek and stylish.

Regardless of the fit or appearance of the old versus new I'm going to still buy more. They're Tory's right!

Thanks for participating! I am very interested in everybody's opinion. I also think that the new version is very sleek looking. I wanted them to work out for me because I have not yet completed my Reva Collection.

I never had a problem with the elastic either. The elastic worked well for a narrow heel.

I'm not sure if I have narrow heels, I guess I do, but for me the elastic compensated for any size difference. All my Revas are either 10.5 or 11 (I know, I have big feet). Depending on the initial fit of the old Revas I could wear either size and the elastic compensated for the difference. In the new Revas I feel they fit a half size smaller to start with. But honestly, in the new style I need a size 10.25, not a 10 and not a 10.5. MAYBE I'm just too picky 😝

The old design looks much better in my opinion. I got my mom a pair of the old version of reva back in 2013 and she never had a problem with the elastic. The elastic also added appeal to the reva to be honest...

I really like the new revas. My calluses are not so pronounced with the new style. Which actually makes it harder to wear my older revas. I was a 5, 5.5 in the old style, definitely a 5 in the new.

Is it safe to say order half a size down ... or full size? I'd really like a pair but will be ordering online and would like to save me the trouble of having to return them.

Have you ever tried on Quinns? The new Revas fit like Quinns but are narrower. I have widish feet and have had to go down a half size on all Revas.

I prefer the old ones. I have a narrow foot and heel and find that the new style destroy my feet. They're super uncomfortable to boot. I wish she'd do both styles so there is at least an option! My old Revas (from 2009) look very worse for the wear.
