New Birkin

Hi my fellow Birkin lovers,
Getting a new Birkin, should I get a 35 or 40 cm. I am 5’8 and I like large bags. Considering, Orange on gold

Personally, I love a 35. I'm 5'7 and think a 40 is too big (for me)
Orange and Gold sounds fab, enjoy!

40 is really large. Wife is 5’8 and a 35 looks great but it’s on the larger side as well. Fill it up and it gets really heavy.

Did you try them on? They are heavy. Hopefully you'll consider the weight too when picking out your bag. I'd go with a 35.

Another vote for 35! I tried a 40 before and it is just too big and heavy ...and I like big bags too.

I'm 5'11" and have both sizes but use 35cm more for everyday use. Still love my 40!

35, absolutely the best size ever, especially in orange and gold, if it was not for the weight of the bag, even empty!

I'd recommend 35 too. My first B is a 40cm (I'm 5'1) and really heavy. Also because of the wooden base. It will prevent the bottom from ever sagging. So if you plan on carrying heavy loads, incl. a laptop or plan to use it for travelling take the 40cm. For everything else 35cm

I love 40s but only use them for travel (I'm also shorter though at 5'4"). Can't go wrong with a classic sized 35 though!
