This isn't exactly good new. If they open a store ANYWHERE in California, that means you have to pay taxes. Even in the future if you purchase from BalNY, you have to pay CA taxes.
Yes, I'm in LA and I'm up for a meet and greet and shop when it opens. Oh my!
The tax thing is a drag, but to be able to go and see the leather before you buy -- to see all the colors in real life -- that would be awesome!

I view the taxes on a Bal bag as opportunity cost for being able to give the bag a good feel before buying it.
