Hi!

Please excuse my long post. Back in 2007 or 2008 while in college abroad I went to the Champs Élysées in Paris and purchased a Neverfull MM before it was very popular. It was my first in store luxury purchase… paid maybe $650 USD if I recall.

I wore the bag for two years and loved it. It got super popular and then I started to love it less because of that…. Fast forward to the last 6 months where I find myself continuing to look at them and wishing I hadn’t sold it! Yikes. I miss the practicality of it.

I just purchased this bag (photos attached) on a whim because it seemed like a true replacement of the one I sold… condition, year, made in Paris, everything! I felt it was a no brainer.

The vachetta has been recently entirely replaced (not by LV) which doesn’t bother me… but I’m wondering how that impacts the value.

I paid about $860.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks!!!

^^^^^^THIS^^^^^^

Not sure what you mean by "impacts the value"
As a buyer or if you choose to resell it?
Either way IMO it would be a huge difference
Neverfulls are probably second only to Speedys in availability on the resale market. It may take a bit of patience but inevitably another will turn up

It sounds like this bag has sentimental value to you personally however I do not believe it has the same value if you come to resell unfortunately. The 3rd party repair will definitely impact resale value as you will have to disclose this to any buyer (otherwise you risk it being deemed fake).

If you love it, keep it and use it. The 3rd party repair should not impact this.

My opinion of preloved Neverfulls is that they are never usually worth it when compared to buying new. Even if you take into account price increases. You can buy new and sell the pouch if you dont want it to counteract cost. Preloved Neverfulls as generally quite used looking and overpriced imo.

I agree with jelly-baby answer.

I think the bag looks great! If it meant so much to you and now you have it back, I wouldn't worry abut the "value" aspect of it, just be happy you have it back and enjoy it!
