Neverfull MM monogram thin straps hurt!

Hi everyone,

I just bought a brand new LV Neverfull MM in monogram from the LV boutique. I heard that the handles in monogram are way softer than the ones in Damier Ebene. However, I find that the edges of the handles in monogram are SO sharp that it almost cuts my skin. They hurt so much against your skin. I understand that they will soften with time, but for those who bought a Neverfull from the LV store, have you noticed that in the beginning too? Thanks xxx.

I attached a pic here to give you a better idea....

I bought my NF GM azur in Rome. I carried her from Italy to Spain, then to the USA. I have pictures that showed I had a small hematoma on my arm, courtesy of my brand new bag. All I was thinking is why do people consider a NF as a great travel bag??? Fast foward two years, and I love my Italian Neverfull. The straps now are softer and very comfortable.

Great to hear it does soften.

If you use the bag everyday how long do you think it’ll take for it to soften? Is it something like a month or more like 6 months time?

It's actually worse on the OnTheGo bag shoulder straps, especially if you load them up. I carried my new Mist one yesterday for the first time on bare shoulders and it was sharp, but by the end of the day, they were considerably more pliable. Just give it time !!

yes its sharp when its brand new, thats how mine was. It went a away after few months of use on and off. However, I still find the strap thin and ends up with sore shoulder. I sold the bag and repurchase the on the go pm noir. I couldnt be more happier with my decision.

Vachetta straps soften up nicely. Didn't take mine too long. I have both the MM and GM. Just wear something that covers your shoulders in the meantime if it bothers you.

None of my NF straps hurt now or at time of purchase; I have Mon Mono (most used and softened), DA (used every summer) and DE in the MM size. The only time I've found a NF uncomfortable is when I carried my GM as my carry on for a 10 hour flight. I packed it full to the brim and paid the price. Once I arrived at the destination, unloaded it and started using it cinched as a regular bag, I found it comfortable.

Ditto to this story. The GM can be uncomfortable when loaded up for long travel days.
