I just bought a preloved Epi Leather Zippy in Amande from their 2009 collection. I noticed that where it is stamped LV their is a fine hairline crack in the leather... I mean it is tiny you'd almost need a magnifying glass to see it, but it's there. Granted, you just bought yours and mine was in the electric collection so it looks like patent leather, or it maybe patent leather because it's shiny. I am curious to see if that fine hairline crack will spread.
