OK, yes that's why they won't repair it. They can't/don't fix cracked canvas so if the canvas underneath the trim is cracked, it wouldn't make sense to try to replace the trim. So sorry that happened.
Just have it repaired to the one you mentioned earlier..im sure it will be worth the 300 repair...i dont think anyone will want to buy a bag with no chance of repair from the Lv store....it sucks that lv refuse to repair even a tiny crack to the canvas...yours could have been easily replaced with a new vachetta trim just to cover it...im thinking if they start to sew over it, the canvas crack might get worst or spread and they might be blamed of ruining the entire bag...im not sure if thats the reason but ill love to know why...
