It's actually a vinyl epi with a thick alcantara lining and it was designed for the cruise collection maybe 4 or 5 season back? Can't recall the date. It was really heavy and the release price was $675 during that time....

Yeah, I don't think it's Vernis...I remember reading about it in a Japanese magazine somewhere and it was under "Epi". I'm not a fan of it, either.
