I think those shoes are way too costly to have any doubts whatsoever. If you are unsure, take them back.
I had a feeling these were the ones you were referring to on the CCLO thread. I really don't care for them, and I am guessing they were very expensive. I think they are incredibly trendy and runway and imagine they will be marked down by the end of the season. If you really decide you need them, I bet you can get them on sale then. All your other shoes are fabulous, so I am glad you've decided to return these.
I have wanted these since I first saw them come out in the fashion week pics- the thing is that the strass version was so utterly expensive ($3000 +) that i never thought it was attainable
When i picked them up @ saks and saw they were around $1700 (which is still ridiculous) i was so taken aback because i never thought they would be remotely affordable and since they were one of my UUHGs i just had to. It was not an impulse buy in any sense since I really have been in love with this style... BUT when you see something on the runway or on a celebrity there is quite a difference from real life.
So for me it's two-fold - they are absurdly expensive and i can think of so many other shoes or bags that i'd wear more.
And...after i got them home I sadly found them UGLY. I still love to look @ them (see picture in my signature) but they just don't look right in person.
I'm actually happy i don't love them in person because it's easier to return them now!
plus, they are a little too similar to the Pilots I got- which are way better and actually wearable!!
Oh- in case you're wondering:
That's black lace, black lizard, and leopard ponyhair on the bridget.... whoa... sort of sounds like a blend of several tpf UHGs all in one
I rarely return anything at Saks so its fine- but i'm prepared for some comments given the cost and outrageous-ness of the shoe. some SAs can be so rude about this stuff. LOL- i'd love to see what they'd say if i said, well would you wear them????
