Hi! I have a promotional gift card that I need to use soon. I really don't know what to buy. If I get something and return it to get something else what will happen to the promotional amount? Will it go on another gift card or just go away? And if I do get a store credit/gift card does that also have an expiration date? Hoping someone with experience can help! Thanks.

I have done this before. If you buy something by gift card the refund would be by gift card. Some stores will put that money back to their STORE credit card if you have one. Otherwise only GC which has a expiration of 3 months. I bought a YSL bag from Bergdorfs and got GC but had to use it within 3 months

Thank you for answering! So just so I know I understand, if I return the item that I bought with the promo card I will get another temporary gift card as my refund?
