Hi Everyone!

Quick question from a painter for you all. I have an event with Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills November 26th where they've asked me to custom paint designs for clients complimentary with purchase. Do you have any designs that you think would be a good fit? What kind of designs are in right now? I always do things like letters and numbers and butterflies... but I'd love to know what you guys think would be cool as an option. I'll post some photos of my work so you can get a sense of the style.

Wow, you're so talented! Beautiful work.

I think a good approach as far as the sheer number of designs to offer would be to think about how many minutes you will realistically have for each bag... is it 5 minutes? 10 minutes? And come into the event with sample sheets or photos that customers can choose from. (Maybe that means "2 butterflies in any color, and your name/initials" or something like that. I think that decision-making on the fly can be stressful so that could help to keep things running smoothly for everyone :)

What about offering a few iconic Beverly Hills-related emblems or designs? Like the famous street signs with the yellow letters, or palm trees?

AH! This was so helpful. Thank you!

I always offer my usual catalog but I hadn't thought of adding any Beverly Hills/CA style designs. I just added in the California poppy (state flower) and maybe some palm trees. Fab idea! I'll try and find an LA looking font as well. Thank you. :)

Hello!

Haven't been on PF in a hot second so I didn't see your message. They went GREAT. I had an absolute blast and it was so fun meeting and painting for so many people. I ended up at a few events in Denver, one in Chicago and Beverly Hills which were a blast. There ended up being so many pieces that they had to ship a bunch home with me to get them all done. Wild! Thanks for asking!
