Need Your Opinion: Is There Value to This T&Co. Piece?

Hi! I'm brand new to Purse Forum.

I'm looking at a resale Tiffany & Co. necklace. It is the medium sized silver Elsa Peretti Crucifix pendant. The piece for resale has been gold plated ("vermeil") by the owner.

My question is if the gold plated piece has any value as a Tiffany item, other than the value of the silver under the gold plating. I've never heard of gold plating a T&C silver item, but I guess it happens.

Doubt it’s real or the owner bought the silver version and dipped it. A no for me.
