Need to let go one of these beauties. Help me!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you beautiful mama’s out there!

I apologize for this post being in the LV forum however my heart is with LV and figured since I need to sell *one* of the two to fund a new LV — either a Neverfull GM or Turenne PM, you ladies can help me.

I’m a mother of one to a 6 year old and we are trying for another baby really soon. I’ve been cleaning out my closet and realized I pretty much sold all my bigger bags the past 2 years and now regret it because most of my bags are small.

Out of these two, which would you sell? The YSL small Kate has more space however the chain is bright gold and is harder to dress down in my opinion vs the CHANEL woc. Although the YSL is stunning and cute on regardless. I own mainly black bags so the YSL nude Kate was a great way to add nude to my collection. It’s actually so hard for me to choose on which one to sell. Which bag would you sell based off the look // functionality // or just based off your preference overall? Thanks in advance for any answers!

Personally I would keep the YSL since you already have mostly black bags! I think you might regret letting go of a color that you don’t have, especially when you go to grab for it one day and it’s not there.

Imo, sell the ysl kate. Chanel is more timeless and more versatile.

both beautiful pieces. I own a Chanel WOC in pink and personally if I had it in black I would keep the black. I’m also selling mine but it’s because I hardly reach for it due to not being able to wear it often due to the color. The YSL Kate is so gorgeous but the chain is too yellow gold in my opinion and I hear the quality isn’t as good as Chanel. I was told the YSL logo starts to chip and corners start to wear...

another thing too is there a price different with the two.. the Chanel prices increase ridiculously IMO so in the near future if you wanted it back, at least the YSL Kate would be cheaper to get

I guess I would say sell the one you would miss less. Keep the one you get more use out of.

Since you like using black bags and once you have your second baby, you're going to use a crossbody small bag ALOT, inside your bigger bag and or separately so I would keep the woc. It's easier to wear, would get dirty less easily (with two kids, it's inevitable). Of course, not knowing what other bags you have, it's hard to say but between just these two, I would sell the ysl. GL!

I’m more of a Chanel fan, but I do not have a WOC, so I cannot attest to its utility in terms of how much it can hold. However, the YSL feels more dressed up, while the Chanel can be dressy or casual, which makes it more useful in my opinion.

I would sell the YSL, though I hear what you're saying about wanting a nude bag. I agree with you...that particular YSL is hard to dress down (shiny gold chain, big shiny logo). I do like YSL but am partial to Chanel between the two. The Chanel WOC will hold its value much better, and the logo is more subtle, which is nice (in my opinion) on such a small bag. Perhaps a nude/beige Chanel WOC is in your future, but you can't lose with the black one you have!

ETA: Highly recommend the NF GM, especially if you are going to have a baby at some point! Great, great bag.

Another vote to sell the YSL if you have to. By the time you get back to buy another Chanel you may have to sell your house to afford one.

IMHO, I have never liked the Neverfull because I do not like totes at all, however they are very popular in general. The Turenne has shape and style, so if it were me, I would purchase the turenne.
