I'm currently carrying a black Longchamp Planetes medium short handle bag that is starting to look really worn, as it has a few holes in the corners and has leather handle lining that has turned green. I bought it in 2015 and have really worn it into the ground, but since then, I need something a bit snazzier and robust for when I go and visit clients.

I would like a bag that can handle day-to-day wear and tear, especially whilst commuting on public transport and can be worn crossbody (but still look smart for evenings) and was initially thinking of either one of these bags:

Can anyone recommend either of these bags or another suggestion you think might suit my criteria? Thanks!

You can several reviews on the Polene Un on Youtube. The LV most likely as well.

For other options, the Longchamp Pénélope Document holder also has a long strap and it's extremely pretty.

BTW - you can have your trusty Planetes' corners fixed free once by LC (and after that the repairs are very cheap). Even if the bag might not be appropriate for work, it may well serve you for years as a travel bag etc.

Thanks for your recommendation! I'm definitely keeping the Planetes for the days when it's raining hard, travelling, etc. But it's good to know about the corner fixing!

I've decided to go for the Polene Numero Un bag as a replacement, but I'm now choosing between the Monochrome Black and the Black Croc. I guess I'll post in the Polene thread for advice...

Otherwise, no additional posts in this thread are required.

Great choice. It's a beautiful bag, and looks way better than the LV IMHO.
