Need some advise

Hello, Ladies. I am in need of some advise. I've been thinking about & looking at some diamond by the yard necklaces. I'm looking at possibly an 18 inch with 7 stations in white gold....something I could wear on a daily basis. I don't want a tiny carat weight; I'm not a petite lady & have found that very tiny, delicate jewelry gets lost on me. So...all you ladies who have DBY, any advise? Are they worth the expense & are they comfortable to wear? I'm not set on Tiffany so if they're are other jewelers who have this, your advise with them would be greatly appreciated.

I had a local jeweler make one for me: 10 stations, 10 pointer each diamond,
Jump ring so it can be worn as 16 or 18 inches, thicker chain than Tiffany's. I like it in the summer- very light and not heavy looking. It's also good for layering.

Brian Gavin makes a great one and will make them with any stone size you want.
