all,

I bought a swagger today that I love...it's a lighter leather color than I'm used to...I'm hard on my bags but really wanted to get a lighter colored bag for the spring/summer. It's a color block one in tan/black/white...the thing is I also saw the darker one in black antique/nickel ginger and loved that one, too...however, it's pretty dark...the question is do y'all think it's too dark a color combo to wear in the spring/summer? I know that anything goes whenever/wherever, but, want to know your thoughts...

thanks!!!

if it helps any, in the "celebrities and their coach bags" thread, on the last page, lily Collins is using the bag that I'm talking about. I love it on her and love the colors. BUT. can it be used in spring/summer?

I'd wear a dark bag any time of year if I got the urge to. I pay little attention to silly fashion rules.

If you end up wanting to keep your lighter bag, invest in some Apple Garde if you don't have any. It will help protect your bag from dirt and color transfer. You can order it on Amazon.

Honestly, I get bags in the colors that I like. I don't let season dictate what I wear and when I wear it. If you are pulling towards the other color, I say go for it!
+1

I used to think my oxblood bags were only for Fall/Winter, then I realized that I couldn't bear to put a beautiful bag away for half a year just because fashion rules dictated that certain colors were for certain seasons. Who saves white for just Summer any more? ;)

I'm definitely exchanging it...I love the color of the other one....and since I'm hard on my bags I know that I have about as much of a chance of keeping this one clean as a baby does his diaper, I won't worry about the darker color...

thanks for the feedback and support!!!!

The ginger one is gorgeous! You really can't go wrong. :smile1:

HI~~
I have the Swagger... I initially bought it in the Black with the Black hardware... Great Color!!!
I then got to see the Color Block Ginger and thought... this color is even BETTER!!! (I had seen the stock photos but they didn't do the color justice....)

I ended up exchanging the Black for the Ginger...

I don't worry about the season/time of year... I wear my bags year round, no matter the color!!!

Good Luck!!!

Lynne :D

Well I love all the Swaggers, actually. I fell in love with the brown and ginger bag too, and then I saw the Apricot / Black color block and snapped it up. I'd probably like on in the medium size too.

Does Apple Garde darken the leathers on new bags? I just love the Apricot as it is and wouldn't want it to deepen…

No, it won't darken your bag. When you apply it, it will look wet...and some bags may look temporarily darker because of that, but it will dry clear. I used it on a very light colored lizard embossed Madeline, and she dried perfectly.
I like the apricot too!! It's a beautiful color!!
