I just got my new Michael Kors MK5038 watch two days ago, and had a few links removed yesterday. I love the watch itself, but I have such tiny wrists that I'm unsure of whether it looks good on me or not. I'm not sure if I'm just not used to wearing a larger-faced watch and that's causing me to question it...or if it is just flat out too big for me. I will say that the clasp bothers me a tiny bit because it is so long and not very curved; it doesn't exactly hug my wrist so the band flops out a bit. I think I could remedy that by removing one more link for a more snug fit, but I initially had my jeweler leave it a tiny bit loose for now since I seem to prefer my watches to not be completely snug. My jeweler said she'd remove one more link for me at no charge if I change my mind on the fit. I've wanted this watch for quite some time and I definitely love the design, but I need some opinions to help me make my decision of keeping or sending back. Sometimes I hate having such tiny wrists; I can't really wear bracelets at all due to this.

Any and all opinions are appreciated! Sorry for the crappy pics; the flourescent lighting in my office doesn't make this watch look near as pretty as it is IRL. Please excuse my naked fingernails in the last pic; I got my old polish taken off last night at home and then we started getting some pretty bad thunderstorms, and I was scared we'd lose power in the middle of me trying to re-paint my nails. Stupid weather...

The reflection on the face in this pic is from the gel skin cover on my BlackBerry.

You can kinda see what I mean about the band/latch here I think. It was hard for me to get a pic of that would show the band without the bottom of my hand being in the way, so I had to take the pic with my wrist turned over.

I have the same watch but in rose gold and my wrists are 5 1/4" inches. I don't think it looks too huge at all. This is a trendy watch, it is meant to be oversized. In fact I get almost daily compliments on the watch, something I never get with my Cartier! lol

Wow, that's exactly what my wrists measure too. I definitely love the look of this watch, and agree that it is supposed to be oversized. I think I'm just unsure since most of my other watches have smaller faces; this is my first venture into oversized watches. Glad you're getting lots of compliments on yours! I love the rose gold color myself, but went with the tortoise since it has the yellow gold accents...I wear a lot of YG jewelry.

I don't love massive watches, but this one isn't. I think it looks perfect! It's the prettiest MK I've seen!

Thank you for the compliment! This is the smaller big-faced watch (kind of an oxymoron hehe); I know for sure that I couldn't pull off the larger sized one. I chose the tortoise colored bracelet because it's so rich in color, and I think it's a color that will work well for me year-round. The little crystals on each hour indicator are really sparkly, but my BlackBerry didn't do a great job of capturing that.

I'm like Swanky - I tried one (I think a Kors gold toned one from Shopbop) b/c I wanted to try the look but didn't feel like I could rock it!

I do LOVE the watch. Can't speak to whether it's too big but all the "big" watches seem to be really big so I think it's okay! does it feel annoying-big?

The watch looks gorgeous on you. I not sure what you mean about the band. Personally, I would add another link so it would be more looser on the wrist. It looks great that way especially with bigger face watches.

I really like it but I love big watches! :smile1: I love the look of a large watch on a delicate wrist. I would definitely try it out for a couple more days with different outfits and see how you like it. I can't tell you how many things that I have bought and had second thoughts on only to later love them! Good luck!

I personally think it looks a little big. It's a very pretty watch though (love the tortise, it's a great twist on the more common gold), and I think you pull it off well. As long as you love it and can wear it with confidence, that's what's important!

Thanks! I'm glad everyone likes it so far...and if someone doesn't like it that's fine too...I'm open to all opinions.

This watch doesn't feel annoyingly large to me. I normally wear watches with metal bracelets/bands, so this one is actually probably a little lighter weight than I'm used to wearing. It feels good on my wrist; not too bulky or anything. The case is a little bit thicker than my other watches, but I've gotten used to that just from wearing it yesterday and today.

Thank you! I may go just a tad looser on the band; I'm not sure yet. I agree that they do look good worn loosely. I think I need to get used to the thicker case for a little bit first, so that I won't be knocking it around on things if I loosen the band a bit more.

Thank you! I do like the watch, no doubt about that. I'm going to wear it a few more days and see what happens. Though at this point, I'm pretty sure I'll keep it. I just love the way it looks; it's too pretty to send back! LOL @ second thoughts- I do that sometimes too, so that may be all that's going on here!

Thanks for your opinion too! It's definitely larger than I'm used to, but I do love the design of the watch. My main reason for choosing this one was the tortoise band; all my other watches have metal bands and I thought it'd be nice to have something a little different.
