need opinion re price of diamond stone alone

Hi ladies,
I want to add a solitiare to a ring that I already own, its a half carat diamond with H color and VS1 or VS2 clarity. Is a price around 1060$ reasonable for the stone alone?

I'd say that the price is pretty high. I think you can get a similar quality stone elsewhere for about $600. At least that's what I think I could get one for from a jeweler I've used for years where I live.

Whats the certification? GIA or AGS certification will have a different price than others.
for prices of GIA or AGS cert stones, you can Blue Nile to get a general idea.
The Pricescope search engine though will tell you the prices of both certed and uncerted stones.
