Ok, I am ready to purchase my first Rolex and I have narrowed it down to the ladies datejust in SS 26mm, with diamond markers. I will be buying this from my AD. Now I can't decide on the dial. I've tried on the silver Jubilee dial and I like it. I have not seen the black dial. My DH is away on business and he went to a Rolex AD. He saw both dials and he likes the one in black better.

Please let me know which dial I should get? Which one is more versatile?

If you own any of the below models, can you please post an action shot? If you have any other suggestions for dials, please let me know too. TIA

Black

In person - the black is definitely more stunning against the silver. When I eventually get a SS Rolex, I plan on getting the black dial. But, I prefer a more unisex look - so I would be getting a 36 mm.

However, you are getting a smaller, more feminine size - so its possible the silver dial will work better with the particular watch you chose.

I agree that trying it on is important. I can't tell you how many things I had decided on based on pics, and then totally changed my mind when I saw it in real life.

People like mother of pearl, too, which comes either black or white (obviously they have iridescence). I think the silver Jubilee is very pretty.

As others said, it's crucial to try on in person. They simply look so different in real life. It's quite a small dial, so the more elaborate the more difficult it can get to read the time on it.
