Need help with Kelly/Birkin color combo, Gold And Chai

Gold B25 phw , esp with contrast white stitching is sporty and casual which goes with the Birkin style, even in size 25

If you want a K25, I’d still pick Phw bc of the leather and stitching, and bc I think of gold, ghw as somewhat preppy combo.

But it depends on one’s style.

ETA: @winter0531 , I have a gold size 30B and a gold size 25B sellier, both phw. They are entirely different, and like you, I wear the 25 more. It does seem like you have a preference for ghw, so I would follow your instincts. For me personally, if I wanted the polish of ghw, I would do it in a 25 kelly style. But, I rehomed a 32 fauve barenia HAC solely bc the ghw made me feel like a ralph Lauren ad, at a time when the 32HAC was quite popular. I don’t think the ghw is more polished, but I do think it’s more conservative. It is truly personal preference.

The styles are so different, I would pick based on your preference of style.

I wanted a gold on gold birkin. I couldn’t find one in the condition and price I wanted so I got a gold on gold Kelly.

I do love the Kelly but it isn’t a carefree or easy to use bag. The flap is fussy and I have to be in the mood to fiddle with it. My Noir GHW birkin on the other hand is super easy. That made me decide that I am a birkin girl. Good luck

Option 1 was my intuitive choice. I think I’m certain on Gold Birkin but need more opinions on Chai. I also love the color but not sure to get in Kelly or Birkin. My collection so far is on the cooler side that’s why I’m considering these 2 colors.

Thank you for the suggestion. I used to dream for a B30 in Gold but found out I prefer a size 25. I love the relaxed and casual look with Gold Birkin especially in a size 30. I’m 5’4”, and both sizes work for me. However, I found myself carrying B25 because of lighter weight.

Do you think B25 in Gold phw also looks laid-back? I saw a girl on Instagram with a gold on gold B25, it’s a totally different vibe. Very polished!

Haha, I actually love a gold Kelly too! But I don’t want to have both B and K in the similar sizes. So if I really have to choose I’m leaning more towards a gold Birkin only because I already have a gold Lindy (shoulder bag)

Ghw generally gives me a formal vibe compared to phw. You didn't mention retourne or sellier for your B and K? For a sellier, I prefer ghw. Retourne, phw although my gold B25 sellier has phw ... I didn't have a choice
