Need Help With A Vintage Ring

I just bought a vintage ring today and it is stamped 18k H.G.E. and it has an either an A or a triangle with a circle around it. I know the HGE is Heavy Gold Electroplate and am assuming the A or triangle with a circle is the manufacturer stamp. Does anyone have any idea who the manufacture would have been??

ETA: I'm pretty sure its an A with a circle around it.

The A in a circle will defninitely be the manufacturers mark. But none of the google searches I've done know which manufacturer either!

*sigh* I have been trying for two nights to find what that mark means!!

I usually have pretty good luck but if they don't have your mark it's still pretty fun to look through.
