I'm stuck! I went crazy purse shopping and can't make up my mind. So I need help from my sisters and brothers on TPF.

Both are a tad different and both offer something the other doesn't. A little background. I have many purses, I love them all and I do have similar bags that can perform the functionality of these (crossbody, enough space to really carry something while out travelling/shopping/walking. Now, I am a crazy purse lady however I'm a boomer, not a Gen X or millennial, so I style with the bag appropriately. I usually dress in blacks.

I like the profile of the LV SouthBank. Believe it or not, but with 20+ LVs, this would be my first Ebene and I'm not sure how I feel about it. I usually prefer mono or epi (def not azur damier). The Rouette is a new style Goyard and a different look with the leather flap to tone the pattern down. It can be crossbody, shoulder, or arm carry and also holds more and it feather light. I like the way the strap sits on my shoulder where they widened the leather to make it sit in place. For the SouthBank, the red interior, the underside of the strap being in read and the tassel give it some street style. I really like the thin profile. Please feel free to rhapsodize about your choice and why you'd choice it. Please click on a thumbnail to enlarge it.

I'll post it on the LVIMG_6552.jpeg IMG_6553.jpeg IMG_6554.jpeg IMG_6569.jpeg IMG_6571.jpeg IMG_6573.jpeg IMG_6574.jpeg forum to see how they feel.

I like the look of the Goyard more but I’m concerned about its durability since I have had issues with mine. I’m no expert so maybe this is fine. I think the LV is more practical, especially with the front pocket.

I really like the south bank! I like how flat it is up against the body. Overall it’s a nice crossbody or shoulder bag. Seems like it can hold just enough stuff. I did see some south bank bags the hardware breaking on the bag. That was really disappointing! I know I tend to over stuff my bags a bit so I crossed that one of the list. If you really like it and don’t carry anything heavy I think you will be fine.

The red on the LV gives it that Wow factor the Goyaed, at least to me, is lacking. Not that the Goyard isn't a great purse, especially if you prefer silver over gold or want a 'quieter' purse. I vote the LV.

I like how the South Bank falls flat against the body. I think the Goyard sticks out too much. I've heard the Goyard canvas isn't as durable as LV so I've never pulled the trigger on one. I could also be biased though since I love my Bloomsbury PM!

I’m on team south bank besace.

Let me start this by admitting that I’m the only one in the world that hates crossbody bags. Now, having said that I will proudly admit that I own the Bloomsbury pm (the south bank besace replaced). It is the smartest LV decision I every made....so much so that I seriously thought of buying the south bank besace as well.

The south bank besace (like my beloved Bloomsbury) rests flat against the body. You can even put a coat over it when traveling in high theft areas.... no one knows. It is also great for rain, snow, etc. everything rolls off. It surprisingly holds quite a bit!

The only reason I have not pulled the trigger and purchased it is because I hate tassels. I think I’m the only one that hates tassels too.

The Goyard in the picture does nothing for me. It reminds me of the Lymington, which is very comfortable.

Listen to your heart and purchase what you love! Please post a picture of the one you choose!

I’m going back to bed because I now want to look at south bank besace again.....

I am starting to think I am becoming a hoarder!

I like the Goyard on you. I think you should decide if brown with gold hardware goes with the clothing and jewelry you wear though. I see you are wearing a gold pendant. I do not mix metals so to speak. I wear gold hardware handbags if I am wearing gold jewelry. I wear handbags with silver hardware if I am wearing silver jewelry. Not everyone cares about mixing metals in their outfits though. Good luck with your decision. Both handbags are great looking.
