This is exactly what it is ! A travel photo holder. It is meant to hold pics of your beloved ones.
You can keep it in your bag on display it in your Hotel room....It comes in 2, 4 , and 6 as far as I know.
I have found it to be a very nice and unexpected mother gift !
It is a picture frame, I can't think of any other use for it myself (I have tried as I have this exact same item in a different colour/leather)
It's great as a keepsake, to slip a picture of that special loved one in your life into your bag, or as a gift for someone special with a meaningful picture slipped inside.
Other than that there are really no other uses.

That is really great if you commute! I think I may have to get one to hold my train ticket and metrocard

For those of you interested in this item, I have taken a comparison pic. The oyster card is the same size as a standard credit card.
I'm not sure if these items are still in production, they were made quite a few seasons ago, but some of the stores still have them in stock if you ask.
