Need help SHIPPING a Chanel from US to Melbourne Australia

Hello everyone!

I need to ship a coco handle from USA to Melbourne AUSTRALIA. Anyone has experiences with this and can give me some pointers? DOs and DON'Ts?

I mentioned that I would declare full value so I can insured the bag but she is worry that she will have to pay duties. Is there anyway around this? THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I don’t think there would be a way around declaring full value if you want to protect yourself. She will have to pay import duties.

I asked a friend to ship a Chanel bag to me from US to EU. The bag is secondhand and was purchased at a good deal. When I checked the tax calculator, I would need to pay anywhere from 700-1000 EUR to customs. We decided to declare the item "used" and with a much, much lower declared value and it arrived to me without problems, via DHL. Might not be a good idea to some but im just sharing my experience. This was last December 2020
