Hey ladies! I'm obsessing over a new right hand ring and I'm stuck between a few designs. I'm torn between my 3 faves: VCA, Cartier and Pomellato.
It would not be for a couple more years at least (maybe for a 40th birthday gift or 15th wedding anniversary gift.) But it's never too soon to start obsessing, right?
I'm not looking for strictly an evening piece. It would be a right hand ring that I could wear MOST every day but not necessarily to the beach or amusement parks or stuff like that with my kids.
Instead of a bunch of costume jewelry, I love having real "uniform" pieces that are very versatile and kind of live along with me. For reference, the other really good pieces I have and mix and match most of the time are:

Cartier Small stainless Tank Watch or large Hermes H-Our watch
Tiffany Victoria platinum tennis bracelet
Tiffany victoria large pendant necklace with 1/2 carat accent stone
Yellow Gold Cartier Love bracelet

Like I said, I wear a combo of these almost everyday so I want the right hand ring to complement them and not be too much.

I'm totally in love with the VCA Oiseaux de Paradis ring (tried it on) but for me, it's much too large and way above my budget. I wish VCA made a smaller version, as I love bird motifs! So, unless anyone here knows of such thing, scratch that!
The ring needs to be under or around $10k, $15k at the absolutely most. I guess, as you will see, I love classic, timeless pieces that also posses a bit of whimsy.

I am considering:
VCA Yellow gold two flower Frivole ring
VCA white gold/pave Cosmos
Cartier yellow gold panther ring, the one that wraps around, not the big head
Cartier Trinity ring with pave section (the white gold/pave band, others are plain)
VCA white gold Socrate btf ring
Pomellato Baby or Capri ring with the pave stones on the band
Pomellato stack of a couple of Nudo rings

I know these pieces couldn't be more different! If any of you guys have them or have tried them on and can help me with which are the most wearable, fabulous, comfortable - whatever. I just can't make up my mind!!

Hi Greentea

The Socrate BTF ring is my dream piece of jewelry. I think it is the prettiest piece in the VCA line and is dainty and feminine enough for day but also great for night.

Having said that, I also have Pomellato rings on my radar for years now. They are unique, classy and wearable DTD and especially love the Nudo! They just don't take my breath away like the Socrate.

While I love Cartier, none of their rings have ever caught my attention. I love the bracelets and watches more.

So.... Socrate!

I know - it's divine. Have you tried it on? How's the comfort level?

Greentea: In my humble opinion and practical assessment,

Frivole two flower can "grab" things as does the Socrate
Cosmos is amazing but very dressy
Trinity ring is kind of "been there done that"

The Cartier Panther ring is a statement but still everyday and durable. My vote for this. However, have you considered the Verdura Candy ring? This is one of my favorites. Its dressy yet sporty, super durable, recognizeable yet not:cool: and a real statement. Its also very reasonable for the heft and quality. They will also do custom. Most are yellow gold but there are white gold versions as well.

I hands down without a doubt would choose the Cartier Panther ring. But I could never make a decision like this so far in advance, lol. Two years is a long time. Tastes change, lifestyles change, designers produce new things and stop producing certain things. Not to mention with price increases, who knows what will be in that price range in two years. I think you should narrow it down to two or three, plan for it, and then decide.
