Dbf's bday is coming up and I would like to give him a really nice watch. Here's a little background on him. He's a network engineer for a game company. Wear mainly t shirt and jeans. Doesn't care for name brand items. Prefer stainless steel to leather strap. I really don't want to spend more than $2,500.00. I'm hoping to get a everyday watch, and would like something new vs. used. Thanks :D

Another vote for a Tag. My husband wears the same thing to work and he LOVES his Tag. He's had it for years, and loves it now as much as the day he got it.

Omega and Tag are great. Some Tag's have square faces though, you'll have to know how big of a watch his wrist can handle and if he would prefer a round or a square. I helped a friend with a watch purchase for her husband, and everyday classic watch and it was an Omega. I can't remember what kind but I think it was around 2,200.00 at Tourneau in Boston. A few years back.

If he doesn't care for name brand items but likes quality that's under the radar you may want to consider a Raymond Weil watch for him. They have a varied assortment in a number of designs that are reasonably priced.

Sorry to hop on to this thread, but this is my first post. I am looking for a necklace for a bday gift for my niece (she is turning 21). She likes classic and feminine pieces, and asked for some kind of pendant (maybe with pearls) that she can wear on a daily basis. I am fine with anywhere from $200-500. She has brown curly hair and brown eyes.
