Need some ideas and opinions from the wonderful ladies here, please. My daughter is turning 12. She’s very sweet in nature and petite. Her skin tone would suit both gold and rose gold. Need opinion on hardiness as she’s pretty athletic, doing various sports like tennis, gymnastics and figure skating. No hard budget. Since she’s very young, i am considering perhaps the classic Tiffany Elsa heart in gold or VCA sweet Alhambra heart carnelian. Let me know if I should consider other options. Thanks!

I just bought my cousin a 12 y o b-day present, a silver heart locket with a single diamond on a med weight chain. I then put her name and the date of her birthday (this year) on the reverse. I could have bought her gold, but her mother said no. My mother bought me gold at that age and I knew to tuck it in at certain times. Anything with a heart or heart-shape is perfect, it's a perfect 'message'.

What about a VCA zodiaque on a chain, it's both fashionable and classic? I think the Alhambra Sweet she'll grow out of.

I'd lean towards the Tiffany Elsa heart or maybe their Smile line. I'm not sure how most stones will hold up to perspiration if she's regularly wearing them while training if that's the expectation. If it is, you might wish to consider if she wears necklaces already as well. I never did because they'd occasionally be a distraction, shifting or getting caught in my hair during practice. For others, it never bothered them; it really just depends.
