I have a Kate Spade makeup bag (like this only green and white polkadot). The exterior is clear plastic.

A friend gave me some fertilizer for my flowers in a baggie, and I tossed it in my bag. Well, the darn fertilizer stained my makeup bag. It's now yellow. I tried soap, vinegar, and alcohol. Any other suggestions for me? I know it wasn't terribly expensive, but I love it. I also like the black and white polkadot in the link above and could just buy a new one, but I'd prefer to restore this one.

Any suggestions? I'm desperate.

How about Bicarbanate of Soda (Baking powder) mixed with a little water and scrubbed with a tootbrush. Good luck. I know how it feels when a much beloved item gets spoilt.

Thanks, I don't know why I didn't think of that. I might try it with water or vinegar.
Drat! Oh well, I might *have* to use it as an excuse to buy something new!
