asl...your hubby is just like my hubby. His 40th just passed and I was stuck. He kept insisting he didn't want anything....it was awful. So here's what I ended up doing:
1. Brought him home dinner from his favorite restaurant (his birthday was in the middle of the week and he hates doing out on work nights)
2. Bought him an ice cream cake from Diary Queen (he's simple and loves their cakes)
3. Bought him a couple new XBox games
4. Bought him a bunch of DVDs....including the full seasons of a couple of his favorite shows
5. Also bought him about 10-15 CDs for listening to in his truck
I also bought him a bunch of new boxer shorts (he had been complaining a week earlier about wanting/needing some) and some other clothes he needed.
He was happy and he is impossible to shop for!
I just really kept my ears open for a couple weeks before his birthday....he let little things slip! And sometimes those are the best presents....when you really need something and someone gets it for you! Oh...and I also dragged him to Best Buy one day.....I made up some excuse and then we wandered around the store....and I paid attention to anything he looked at!
