I need help deciding between two different engagement rings, the Tiffany Legacy (w/o graduated side stones) http://www.tiffany.com/Engagement/Item.aspx?GroupSKU=GRP10013#f+0/0/0/0/0/0 or the Tiffany round brilliant w/ bead-set border http://www.tiffany.com/Engagement/Item.aspx?GroupSKU=GRP10018#f+4/0/0/0/0/0. I really love both rings for different reasons. I would love to hear comments from both owners and non-owners of the ring as well as see some pictures from those who have one or the other rings.

I definitely prefer the Legacy, as I usually prefer the cushion cuts to RB's. The only thing I think you should be sure about first is that you will love the cushion cut forever. Sometimes certain cuts are trendy/in fashion for a period of time, and then start to look dated. (I tend to think the cushion cut will last because it is an old cut seen in many antique pieces). But if you're unsure of that aspect, then you're always safe with the round.

I agree. Not to offend anyone here but I think marquise and pear look dated. Although I have seen them in some gorgeous settings. But, for that reason, I prefer classic round. I would certainly try on and be open to any shape, but my brain says to go round!

Have you tried both on? I love the legacy and was all set on getting one at one point. But when I went to Tiffany's every time I put it on my finger the shape looked wrong. So, I think it is really important to try them both on and see for yourself which looks/feels right.

If you have done that and like both equally, I vote legacy. FYI, I ended up with a simple solitaire.

I prefer the bead set round. For a cushion I prefer the Novo or the unannounced Asscher cut solitaires they have floating around.

That said, I never thought we would choose the classic round brilliant three stone ring and I am absolutely thrilled.
