Need help adding "bling"

Hi all...I just purchased a new Mahogany Leather Pleated & Framed Ergo Satchel from the outlets and need advice on how to dress it up with some gold/brass charms. How would I attach it since there is minimal hardware on the bag? I'm not comfortable attaching it to the hang tag because I've lost hangtags before, and while they are somewhat easy to replace, a charm would not be. Any suggestions or pics would be appreciated. Thanks much!

A scarf would look pretty on her. If you go to reference section and click on ergo bags you would be able to get some ideas.
