I bought these earrings...

When I got them they had a funny pierced fitting (homemade-looking) that drooped forward in my ears like so:

I thought this looked sloppy, so I took them to the jeweler. I was on the fence about whether to do straight posts or have wire showing, but decided to opt for wire so the earrings would have more length. I picked them up today and the wire turned out shorter than I thought it would be.

Should I change to a post setting?
Get a longer wire so that there is more space between the bottom of the ear lobe and the top of the earring?
Do you think it looks good as is?
Thank you for the feedback :smile1:

If they are comfortable, I would leave them as is. They definitely look better now.

If the short wire is pinch, then I would probably change to a longer wire or post.

They are beautiful earrings; what is the green stone?

I like those earrings the way they are now. They sit well on your ear, rather than tilting downward as in the first pictures. If you change them to posts, they may still tilt downward just due to the weight, though not as bad as with the original wires. Really pretty and unique earrings!

I think they definitely look much better with the new wires. I think they'd look great with posts too though...if you still aren't happy with how they look, maybe you should give posts a try. Either way, they're really pretty!

They definitely look better then before but if they pinch or earlobe and start to feel uncomfortable I would change them to posts. I think I would prefer the look of posts personally.
