Need description for 17 Le Boy (So Black)

In February 2017, I purchased a So Black Old Medium Boy and matching wallet. It was my first purchase from Chanel. It’s been my profile pic. The SA told me it was caviar leather, but I could tell right away that the leather was too soft to be caviar. Can anyone help me describe this bag? It has a slight iridescent sheen in the sunlight.
Also, I would like to sell it. Please let me know any tips for this. Right after I purchased the bag, the resell market was selling for $2,000 more than retail price. I have peeked around and I cannot find any stores selling it.

I actually have the same exact bag and when I purchased from NM my SA told me the leather is actually called iridescent grained lambskin while caviar is grained calfskin. Fashionphile usually has 1-2 of these bags listed I would check there for pricing reference!

Looks like caviar to me maybe it’s a soft caviar.

Also would you mine if I ask why you intend to sell it? Does it have to do with functionality? I plan on purchasing a boy this year, so pretty curious.

As stated above, it is grained lambskin. Not Caviar, which is grained calfskin.

It is unique, and I still have the text from the SA that says caviar, but if definitely feels like lamb. It’s very dear to my heart, as it was my first Chanel bag purchase.
The cardboard feel of the bag; I just can’t get over it. I’m scared to wear it. The chain is not comfortable and it’s very loud. Since my journey with Chanel, I have figured out that I am a 2.55 girl. The reissue is very understated and no one even knows it’s Chanel where I live. And I love that. I purchased a So Black 2.55 WOC and the So Black 226. The So Black makes my heart skip a beat. I would like to recoup what I spent on this bag, and as long as I can do that, I think she’s gunna go. I would prefer she ends up to someone who will wear her all the time and enjoy her.

I’m going to keep looking! The boys seem to be all over the place with pricing. I have also thought about consigning it, but maybe Fashionphile is the way to.

If I remember correctly FP was selling them shortly after they came out for around $7k but I think they’ve come down a little since then for So Black.
