I want a bright and deep orange but I can’t decide between feu and orange poppy. I am leaning towards OP but am worried it will be too close to my fendi peekaboo in color tulipano.

I have inserted a pic of my fendi bag. Is orange poppy going to be this same color?

My initial thought when looking at this bag, before even registering it as being a Fendi bag, was “Oh look, an Orange Poppy bag.” If you truly love this sort of colour, I don’t see an issue with buying more than one similarly-hued bag.

While Orange Poppy and this orange Fendi colour are visually similar, dependent and independent variables* will help add some distinction between the two bags.

*Dependent variables: resin colour (dark brown on Hermès Orange Poppy vs. black on the Fendi) and leather type (smooth— à la Swift— on the Fendi vs. grained Clémence, Togo, Evercolor or Epsom on the Hermès bag [specifically referring to Birkin/Kelly availability], since Orange Poppy didn’t come in Swift or other smooth-grained leathers for bags.)

Independent variable: hardware colour (Perhaps you could opt for PHW on the Hermès bag since your Fendi bag has GHW.)

With similar colours there are subtle differences which can only be compared in real life and natural daylight.
There are also subtle differences between batches.
So it depends on how colour sensitive/literate you are just how much you will respond to these variations.
A set of RAL or PANTONE colour cards might help.

They seem very similar. With the orange shock factor. Very modern, very hip.

But what style bag are you getting? If a birkin, or a normal sized Kelly, I would go with Feu. A solid, versatile, graceful orange that will grow with you.

But if you're thinking of a Mini Kelly II, Kelly Pochette, or maybe a mini Evelyne, then, if OP is offered, then it's actually kind of cool.
