Need advice. Tom ford Jennifer or Valentino crossbody hobo.

All,

I am back and forth on which bag to buy. I use the Hermes Evelyne all the time and love it. I have that in gold and considered getting an etoupe but thought maybe to get another grey crossbody.

Which do y'all think? For reference, this is the new Jennifer with 2 straps...one for shoulder and one crossbody and this is the small Valentino

They both look great but I prefer the TF on you! My vote goes to the Jennifer!!

They are both gorgeous. I had the larger size of the Valentino but returned it after a stud fell off. I know they would repair or get me a new one, but it just ruined the bag for me because I was always checking the studs. I have never been tempted again.

Thank you! I was concerned about the studs. So good to know. What a bummer, and would feel the same. I am leaning toward the Tom ford. The leather is amazing. I had no idea how great his quality was given all my disappointments with Prada and Chanel lately.

Tom Ford. It's soooo classy and I think it looks better on you. It also looks more Luxe to me than the V. But I have never been a fan of the rock studs on handbags. And now it's knocked off so frequently it's becoming passe IMO.

I bought my daughter that Valentino in black. It's gorgeous. If you are going for grey, I like the Jennifer but it's more casual. The Valentino is more edgy and sophisticated. My daughter loves hers. But I don't love it in grey.

My Valentino bag is wonderful quality. So is my daughters. They Jennifer is more of a workhorse. A gay friend of mine that works at Neimans screamed when he saw my Valentino. He would have liked the Jennifer, but screaming? That was reserved for the Valentino. My daughter loves the bag you pictured in black more than any other bag she owns.

Velentino, much more elegant but edgy and casual. The TF looks too similar/like a grown up version of a Chloe bag. IMO!

Wow. Great point Charleston-mom. Well, I like the bigger version of the Valentino than the one I have pictured above. Is that what your daughter has? Then I saw this Chanel in the thread and this looks really pretty too...and can do crossbody.

You are right about Jennifer being a workhorse and Valentino being a wow factor. I definitely am a classics with an edge type, but not a " look at me" type either. Hmm. Ugh!
