Need Advice.. Rodeo Drive or South Coast Plaza?

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie to the H forum and would need some of your expertise advice. ;)

I wanted to get a 35cm togo or clemence birkin as a PUSH present from the DH. DH bought an H bracelet before but that was like last year at South Coast Plaza and we didn't get to know the SA. So we don't have any relationship with any SA. I wanted to know what will be my best approach to get on a birkin? Should we walk into the store and buy something first and ask if there's a birkin available? Are there any around these days or on the shelves lately? Better chances in Rodeo Drive or South Coast Plaza? I would love to build a relationship with an SA that are willing to help me get on a birkin. It will be great if experts can give me advice. Thanks in advance. :flowers:

I've been checking the inventory thread a lot but I'm not sure if I have to know an SA before getting one? I don't know if the inventory posted on the thread are the ones that the SA offered to specific members on this board only or its actually on the shelf where anyone can just walk in to get one? So far, I have no luck seeing one on the shelf. :oh:

Usually people will specify whether it was "on the shelf" or "from the back". On the shelf and it's yours... from the back and a relationship might come into play.

Maybe take a trip to the store with your DH... have a look around, don't let Birkin be the first word out of your mouth and see if you get a vibe from anyone. Hope fully DH can pop in from time to time and see what stock is available.

I've replied to you PM Beary~~

I have seen more birkins on the shelf at BH and I think it might be because it's more of a touristy area and there are a lot of foot traffic. I personally haven't seen a birkin on the shelf at South Coast just yet. When these birkins are on the shelf, you can just want in and buy it and its yours!! If it happens to be a color/leather combo that you love, then lucky you, instant gratification :)

BearyT: I have seen birkins on the shelves at both SCP and Rodeo BH. I was actually able to buy mine right off the shelf! With the economy lately you can actually walk into H and there will be birkins on shelves. I even saw a 30 orange ostrich birkin on the window display a few days ago.
