Need advice on necklace/choker for this dress

Hi, everyone! I bought this dress yesterday. It's one of 2010 MaxMara Spring Collection, so it was 20%OFF! Normally I do not wear a black dress. I have no idea about what kind of necklace would look good on this dress. Actually, unlike all of you in this forum, I don't have many jewelies. (I started loving jewerly after I joind this TPS! Previously, my biggest inerest was in cars!) I only have bytheyard and charm neclaces in gold. I have a small diamond plutinum necklace and a short pearl necklace. Perhaps, that's all!! Should I buy something like a long pearl necklace???

I think a long pearl strand would look nice, but I think you can get away with just the pearl choker. Both would work.

AntiqueShopper, thank you for your advice! I will look for both. They might be useful. I don't buy real pearls, anyway. Actually I don't think I can distinguish fake pearls from the real thing! (Or, freshwater pearls, perhaps?)

I've never really researched/looked for freshwater pearls but they are quite beautiful and reasonable prices! I think I've found a good one at a Japanese pearl maker online shop! Their freshwater pearls are quite "round" and glossy!
