Hi, this is my first post, even though I've been religiously checking out this forum, I love the pic and the post, so detailed and helpful!
Ok, the thing is, I cant seen to find the datecodes on my:
LV Multicolore Speedy 30
LV Multicolore French purse (is it even supposed to have one?)
LV Monogram Riveting bag
I've bought all of these items at LV boutiques, mostly in Europe..

they are usually right into the seams if there is pocket inside the bag it'll be in there somewhere they are hard to find but if you bought it at the boutique you have nothing to worry about so if you can't find it it's ok

The multicolore speedy should be engraved in the lining inside the pocket, the riveting have a little leather tab inside the large pocket and the french company I'm not sure (I think they don't have any just a yellow tag)
