Necklace shortening

Has anyone had a necklace shortened by Cartier? I would like my 2 diamond love necklace to be shortened (another ring added so that I can wear it shorter) in order to wear it simultaneously with my love pendant necklace. I think it’s possible, but am wondering if anyone has experience with something like this. I’ll have to go to the boutique to confirm, but won’t be able to do so for a couple of weeks.

Here is my goal. Right now the top necklace sits a little too close to the other. IMO of course!

Yes, I have added a shorter jump ring to my Cartier necklace. They let you choose where to put it so I’d have some idea of where you want it to sit. The SA will then measure it and do a service order. They will say it will be gone a long time but i got mine back pretty quickly. Maybe 2-3 weeks. It’s a super smooth process.

For me they sent it to New York which is where they do service for the states. I’m sure they have other service points for other countries though.

I had my d´amour necklace lengthened. It took about 2 weeks or something. Looks amazing, they did a great job and was for free.

Mine was lengthened for free too.

It was repaired at the same time (don't ask - now all fine) and altogether it took less than a fortnight (London).

Mine has jump stations so I can still wear it shorter if wanted. Maybe they could shorten yours with a station circle but leave the length so you have both options (unless it's a collar).

The two diamond love necklace comes with 2 jump stations, I will be asking for them to add a third to have the ability to make it even shorter. I’m assuming since it already has 2, adding a 3rd shouldn’t be a problem. Fingers crossed!
