nappa gaufre bn1336 or bn1789

mmm.. I can't decided!!!!

I never had a gaufre before, and think it is a good time now I am starting a new job in the US... it is a popular Casual Lifestyle apparel brand in the US.... which is more suitable??? which one do you ladies think?

o ya bn1336 is about 400 more than 1789 :s

i have nappa 1789, and its definitely my lightest leather bag (lighter than LV Mahina). size is bit smaller than 1336, just right for me. also depends which closure you prefer - zip or magnetic snap?

OMG! Kiki I was having the same debate and was going to post something as well!!! I finally decided on 1789. From what I gathered (apparently others have had the same dilemma!), they are about the same size, although purse-nality says 1789 is smaller, and 1339 has a zipper close and 1789 is a bit more of a rounder shape.

I really liked the rounder shape and decided the zipper wasn't worth $400!

However - are you hoping for nero? I got in touch with Joanna yesterday and she was already sold out of the 1789 nero. Boohoo! I've asked her is she's getting anymore in but haven't heard back. For 1789, she has pomice and Visone Sfumato. I'm assuming you have the pics of the other colors but I've attached them just in case. I haven't asked about 1339 yet but she said they are going quickly. I kinda had my heart set on nero.

Does anyone know if 1789 in nero is available at another boutique for the same price?

^i'd stick w/ joanna! the recent price decrease made it even sweeter! 1789 got the biggest price drop (making it cheaper than what i paid last year!)! nappa gauffre's are usually replenished fast (esp. black), as i noticed from her stock alert emails. further, even if u.s mainland rolled down prices too, Hi retail has always been lower to begin with... imo, that plus joanna's impeccable service -- so worth the wait!

I want Nero too!!! If I wait listed, they won't hold the price right? hope that the price won't come up when it is restocked!

I really like 1336 and the shoulder strap.. But kinda abit out of price range as I will have to buy alot of furniture when I move :s

purse-nality - Thanks so much for that! Before I checked the thread this morning I called the Soho and Bal Harbour stores and their prices were $2295. The lady at the Soho store said that if anything, the price will go up. So this is definitely unique to Hawaii. Interestingly enough, they are both sold out but said they can order them in. I agree too, Joanna is wonderful.
