Hey!
I love this color, I have red hair so I also gravitate to yellow. I have never owned any of her clothes but love them. I saw this and I love the length and the detail on it. I like that it can be classy with a twist. What to you all think and what are her clothes like? Do they fit well? Worth the money? Does this look like some thing I could wear a while? I am in the South so things like this can be worn in the Fall as well. Does it look like it could flatter at the waist?
I really appreciate ALL HONEST opinions!!! Thanks in advance!!!!:D

i personally think nanette lepore's clothing is worth the money. the detailing, femininity, and quality are worthy IMO. since this item isn't screaming TRENDY, you can definitely wear it for awhile. it does look rather classy so you'll get some good wear out of it in spring through fall. i love that yellow!

Yes I love the femininity too! I am a "young looking" 48 and I don't want to look so serious. I also sell new homes so I need to look nice but not like a banker, KWIM? Plus anything that pairs black!

it's gorgeous! definitely an investment piece, so I would say that it is worth it. There are also so many ways of accessorizing this cardigan, from adding a simple thin belt, to adding a brooch, or just you can just wear it as it is. It's such a simple design, but the fringes and the cutting of it just adds a little something something to the cardigan so that it's not plain at all

Hi! :smile1: There's actually a NL thread! :smile1: I absolutely adore her stuff  ... feminine, well cut, not overly trendy, and so flattering! I own a lot of pieces, and every single one has held up well. I think the marigold cardi is cute and it sounds like you'd get a lot of wear out of it... go for it! :smile1:

ETA: I should mention that while I absolutely think her clothing is worth the price, virtually 99% of my stuff was purchased at a discount, because I just don't like paying full price if I don't have to. :smile1:

The sweater looks nice, I have no idea how much it is but I'm assuming fairly expensive as most of her clothes are. I don't think this looks that high end just seeing the pic, may look better IRL. I do find that her things are overpriced for what they are though IMO. But at least it's a classic style so I do think you could wear it for many years to come.

Here is another huge fan of NL!:yahoo:
I have several dresses, tops and jackets and I love the feminity of her pieces.
I love the color and the detail! I find that NL is not overly trendy and I think that you'll get quite a bit of wear out of this cardigan!

I like NL and own some of her pieces and think they are well made. In terms of fit her clothing runs small so it will probably fit better if you are either petite or small chested. I am large chested and haven't found a top yet that fits.

IMO for simple knits I purchase them at cheaper places like Banana Republic. I don't see a lot of difference in fabric in most summer knits like cotton, rayon, and linnen. Unless the top is a fabric where there is a huge difference in longevity based on quality (like Cashmere) I usually go for something cheaper.

I'm also a huge fan of Ms. Lepore and have several of her things- they are all well worth it! I agree with ZoeyZoo, though...her items tend to fit well on women who are petite/smaller-chested. I typically have to get dresses taken in around the chest (because I'm small-chested) but it's never a problem with her stuff! :yahoo:

While the color is def eye-catching, I don't quiet like the details on that card esp on the sleeves area. But nonetheless, the shade is perfect for this season and I'm sure you can make it work (dress down or up).

I'm a recent convert to Nanette Lepore, and while I can't say that I would buy her clothes full price (I'm a poor grad student!), I have noticed that when I wear her clothes I get a TON of compliments about how good they look, and even about how well they fit. So yes, I do think that her designs/fabrics/quality is far superior to other brands.
As to your other questions: I'm not sure how well this could translate to other seasons, since yellow is such a spring/summer-y color. However this isn't too trendy so you could certainly put it into winter storage and wear it again next year. Also, I've found the fit and tailoring of her pieces to be incredibly flattering, so I would be pretty confident that it would be flattering to the waist.
